Jesse Borkowski is an award-winning filmmaker with extensive production, distribution, and marketing experience.
Jesse holds a Masters in Business Administration from Elon University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Animation from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Jesse is a nationally recognized Princess Grace Award recipient, a Jury Prize winner at the Szeged International Super8 Film Festival, a Jury Special Award winner at the Golden Wheat Awards, a First Place winner at the After Hours Film Festival, a Finalist at the Rocky Mountain International Film Festival, and a Quarterfinalist at the Blue Cat Screenplay competition. Jesse’s collaborative work has been awarded multiple Telly Awards, including two Gold Awards, in the categories of Education, Viral Video, Social Issues, Social Responsibility, Use of High-Definition, Editing, Recruitment and Use of Humor.
Jesse’s feature length film Real Value is an award-winning economics documentary that delivers a refreshing meditation on how business can be used to create value beyond profit; connecting motivational stories from social entrepreneurs working in agriculture, apparel, insurance, and biofuel, with the captivating science behind our perception of value from world-renowned professor of psychology and behavioral economics, Dan Ariely. The film was an official selection of The South African Eco Film Festival, The Sustainable Living Film Festival, has over one million views on YouTube, and has screened dozens of times internationally.
Jesse’s feature length film Seven Days in Helsinki: Conversations with Kyungmin Park is an award-winning documentary that presents an intimate, meditative, poetic, look at the life and work of internationally celebrated figurative sculpture artist Kyungmin Park (Emerging Artist, NCECA). The film was a Jury Special Award winner at the Golden Wheat Awards, a Finalist at the Rocky Mountain International Film Festival, and an Official Selection of the Richmond International Film Festival, the Anatolia International Film Festival, the Andromeda Film Festival, and the Golden State Film Festival.
